This is an old post from about this time 2019. I wanted to put it up and then move on from here.

It’s been almost three months since we last posted here. They have been busy!

We moved into our new apartment on Grand Island, New York, September 15, 2019. Mireille spent a couple of weeks in Canada with her family, and I joined her for a weekend to see one of her cousins get married.

Canadian weddings are fun!

We took a lightning trip to Oklahoma City, where we got to see some family and friends. The main reason we went was to have dinner with some of our favorite people there and wish them “bon voyage” as they get ready for retirement. They are going on a “round the world” cruise, and I hope they write about it because I am sure it will be amazing!

We have also been: settling into our apartment, storing Charlie, figuring out how to keep the house batteries charged, buying baby clothes for the little one, and so on.

Sprinkled in amidst all the rest I was in Houston twice for a combined three weeks for work.

Over time we may get to some or all of that. For now, I want to take a moment and reflect on the past two years. We have so much to be grateful for.
